The boy and the nuts

Once a boy sat under a big tree. Near him was a small vine with large pumpkins on it.

He looked at the tiny nuts on the big tree. He looked at the large pumpkins on the small vine.

Then he said, "The big tree should have large pumpkins on it. The small vine should have tiny nuts".

Just then a tiny nut fell and hit him on his nose.

Ouch! said the boy. "I am glad that the little vine has the large pumpkins".

El niño y las nueces

Una vez un niño se sentó debajo de un gran árbol. Cerca de él había una pequeña enredadera con grandes calabazas.

Miró las diminutas nueces del gran árbol. Miró las calabazas grandes en la enredadera pequeña.

Luego dijo, "El árbol grande debe tener calabazas grandes. La enredadera pequeña debe tener nueces diminutas".

En ese momento una nuez diminuta cayó y lo golpeó en su nariz.

¡Ay! dijo el niño. "Me alegro de que la pequeña enredadera tenga las calabazas grandes".
